Terms of Service

These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your access to and use of UnitLync ("Service"), operated by UnitLync ("Company," "we," "us," or "our"). By creating an account or using the Service, you agree to be bound by these Terms.

1. Account Registration and Usage

To access the Service, you must create an account by providing accurate and complete information. You are responsible for:

  • Maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials.
  • All activity that occurs under your account.
  • Promptly notifying us at support@unitlync.com if you suspect unauthorized use of your account.

You must be at least 18 years old to create an account. By registering, you represent and warrant that you meet this requirement.

2. Acceptable Use

The Service is intended for lawful property management purposes only. You agree not to:

  • Use the Service to violate any applicable law or regulation.
  • Upload or transmit any content that is unlawful, fraudulent, harmful, or offensive.
  • Attempt to gain unauthorized access to any part of the Service or its infrastructure.
  • Use automated tools (bots, scrapers, crawlers) to access or extract data from the Service without prior written consent.
  • Impersonate any person or entity, or misrepresent your affiliation with any person or entity.
  • Resell, sublicense, or otherwise commercialize access to the Service without authorization.

We reserve the right to investigate and take appropriate action against any user who violates this section, including account suspension or termination.

3. Intellectual Property

All content, features, and functionality of the Service — including software, design, text, graphics, logos, and data structures — are the exclusive property of UnitLync and are protected by applicable intellectual property laws.

You are granted a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to access and use the Service solely for your internal property management purposes.

You retain ownership of any data you input into the Service ("User Data"). By using the Service, you grant us a limited license to process, store, and display your User Data solely to provide and improve the Service.

4. Subscription and Billing

4.1 Plans

The Service is offered under several subscription tiers, including a Free plan and paid plans (Starter, Professional, Business, Enterprise). Plan details, features, and pricing are described on our Pricing page.

4.2 Billing

Paid subscriptions are billed in advance on a monthly or annual basis, depending on your selected billing cycle. Payments are processed by our payment processor, Lemon Squeezy (lemonsqueezy.com), on our behalf. Lemon Squeezy acts as the Merchant of Record for all transactions.

4.3 Upgrades and Downgrades

You may upgrade or downgrade your plan at any time. Upgrades take effect immediately. Downgrades take effect at the end of your current billing period.

4.4 Failed Payments

If a payment fails, we will attempt to notify you via email. If payment is not resolved within a reasonable period, your account may be downgraded to the Free plan or suspended.

4.5 Taxes

Prices listed may exclude applicable taxes. Lemon Squeezy, as Merchant of Record, is responsible for calculating and remitting applicable taxes where required by law.

5. Service Availability

We strive to maintain high availability of the Service, but we do not guarantee uninterrupted or error-free operation. Scheduled maintenance or unforeseen outages may temporarily affect access. We will make reasonable efforts to notify users in advance of planned downtime. We shall not be liable for any loss or damage resulting from downtime or service interruptions.

6. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law:

  • The Service is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied.
  • UnitLync shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising from your use of or inability to use the Service.
  • Our total cumulative liability to you for any cause of action shall not exceed the fees paid by you to UnitLync in the twelve (12) months preceding the claim.

UnitLync is a software platform for organization and record-keeping only. It is not a licensed real estate agent, broker, or legal advisor. Nothing in this Service constitutes legal, tax, or financial advice. Nothing in these Terms limits liability that cannot be lawfully excluded under applicable law.

7. Account Termination

7.1 By You

You may cancel your account at any time through your account settings or by contacting support@unitlync.com. Upon cancellation, your paid subscription will remain active until the end of the current billing period.

7.2 By Us

We reserve the right to suspend or terminate your account at any time if you violate these Terms, we are required to do so by law, or continued provision of the Service poses a legal or security risk. We will provide reasonable notice where possible, except where immediate action is required.

7.3 Effect of Termination

Upon termination, your access to the Service will cease. We may retain your data for a reasonable period in accordance with our Privacy Policy and applicable law. You may export your data prior to termination.

8. Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. When we do, we will revise the "Last updated" date above and notify you by email or in-app notification. Your continued use of the Service after such changes constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.

9. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the jurisdiction in which UnitLync is incorporated, without regard to conflict of law principles.
